Sustainably sourced
pure botanik is small, local and hands‑on, each step of the way from my garden to yours.
Origin
Every plant is propagated in my Northern Beaches garden, harvested from plants that have thrived in these conditions. The plants that come from my garden to yours are established and ready for their new home, free of toxic chemicals.
Composition
I sell locally and in person so a plant travels as little as possible before it reaches you. The materials I use are chosen to be good for the plants and gentle on the planet.
My pots are from Modiform, made from recycled plastic and powered by green electricity. The silver interior makes automated recycling easier, and the drainage design keeps air moving around the roots to help prevent rot. To recycle, simply remove the sticker, rinse the pot, and drop it at your local Bunnings Warehouse or Kimbriki recycling hub.
I use Rocky Point Coco Pro potting mix, which uses a renewable coconut coir blend instead of the usual non-renewable peat moss. It provides good drainage and aeration for young roots, with a slow-release nutrient blend to support steady growth.
My plant tags HeapsGood EcoLabels, made from plastic-free, compostable paper and printed using thermal heat, not chemical inks. The labels can break down in an active home compost bin. A heads-up that the HeapsGood backing sheet is not yet compostable.
Care
All pure botanik plants are grown to be easy to care for. Each plant comes with a QR code linking to a simple care guide.
